Created in collaboration with Jon Ferguson and the original ensemble.

In a remote village at the northern edge of the world, a lonely toy-maker is engaged in an epic battle with the darkness of winter. This magical new story combines ancient folklore with tales of adventure and discovery to unearth the true origins of Santa Claus.

80 minutes, no intermission.

"S. Gunter Klaus is a rich and surprisingly challenging show."
- Jay Gabler, TC Daily Planet

"Movement and storytelling mix evocatively in a north-woods epic about children, Santa and very sarcastic trolls ... a charming Norwegian-inflected story about the origins of Santa."
- Claude Peck, Minneapolis Star Tribune

The Southern Theatre, Minneapolis MN, December 2009.

Heimbuch's script is a great intellectual feat, tossing several balls immediately into the air and keeping them there for the play's duration, dispensing tidbits of information at a heady, entrancing pace that may have you on the edge of your seat. - Jay Gabler,
