In the summer of 1720, a savvy highwayman, a penniless writer, and a vengeful young lady are united by a botched robbery. Yet when the writer publishes an account of their exploits, they quickly realize the benefits that a dangerous reputation can yield. But as their reputation grows and the stock prices rise, it's only a matter of time before it all comes tumbling down.
